Chettinad the name itself says its a tamilnadu cuisine..I think nowadys chettinad dishes are very popular in all over the world..Chettinad food is essentially spicy compared to other tamil dishes..I like to experiment with new recipes..Usually in kerala we have a lot more varieties of chicken dishes..some of them are chicken roast, chicken curry with grated coconut as well as dried coconut, chicken mappas (yellow curry) etc...even then i love to try new experiments with chicken. Actually i got this recipe idea from one of my old friend ,Kavitha from Tamilnadu.Once she prepared chettinad chicken curry for us..We really liked that curry so i collected the recipe and tried it in our kitchen ..nowadays its a common in our menu .
This curry is really good with chappati or appam ...i do remember we used to have this dish from one of the restaurant in Chennai near Gemini Circle, I don't remember its name, i think it is Anjappar chettinad restaurant but I still remember the taste ...
